R

Interactive Learning Tools:

Features like breakout rooms, polls, Q&A sessions, and live chats are used to enhance interactivity and ensure active participation, even in a virtual setting.

Instructors can provide detailed, personalized explanations, demonstrating processes or tools directly to students, making it easier to understand complex subjects in real-time.

Blended Learning Approach:

For a more flexible and comprehensive learning experience, many SETA courses combine LIVE online classes with face-to-face onsite classes, commonly known as blended learning.

Benefits of studying SETA

R

Enhanced employee skills and productivity

Running SETA courses helps upskill employees in specific industry-related competencies, improving their knowledge and expertise. This training equips them with the latest skills and industry-specific knowledge, enhancing their overall performance and productivity.
R

Improved employee retention and motivation

Offering SETA-accredited training shows employees that the company values their growth and career progression. This can significantly boost employee morale, job satisfaction, and loyalty.
R

Compliance with BEE (Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment)

Businesses that invest in SETA training may earn BEE points, which contribute positively to their BEE scorecard. As part of South Africa's Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment
Act, companies are required to meet certain criteria for transformation. Providing SETA courses helps businesses to meet skills development targets, which is a critical component
of their BEE score and compliance. This is increasingly important for companies aiming to work with government entities or large corporates that prioritize BEE compliance.
R

Access to government funding and grants

Many SETAs offer financial incentives, subsidies, or grants to businesses that invest in training their employees. These funds can help reduce the costs associated with training and
upskilling programs. Businesses can apply for Skills Development Levies to cover part of the training expenses, making it more affordable for companies, especially small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), to run professional development programs.
