ICB Qualification
The ICB’s 3 business studies programmes are designed to give you the most relevant, practical and useful knowledge and skills around. This means that whether you’re undertaking a bookkeeping course, accounting course or business management course, you can be certain that you’ll be equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills to make you employable and valuable.
Registration with ICB institute
Registration means that we will add you to the ICB student database and student is issued with a student number. You only need to register once, and your student number stays the same throughout your studies. ICB registration fees are paid every year that you are studying an ICB course.
***Student should pay registration fee, exam fee and annual subscription fees directly with ICB
Exams are sat in the following months: February, May, August and November.
Does ICB offer exemptions?
If you have another finance related qualification or relevant work experience, you can apply for exemptions. You are required to submit the following:
- Completed Student Details form available on icb.org.za
- Guidelines for Recognition of Prior Learning available on icb.org.za
- Certified copies of your academic transcripts of previous qualification
- Comprehensive CV
Once the ICB has confirmed your exemptions, an additional fee is payable for each exemption you accept.

- Business Management
Progression to other Professional Qualifications
Upon completion of ICB, you are eligible to study CIMA and ACCA. You will receive a number of exemptions; this will fast track.
